Bausch & Lomb Rapid Rectilinear450mm F8

€350.00 EUR

Shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.
History:  Bausch & Lomb was one of the largest optical companies in the USA back then, and still today.

This Rapid Rectilinear (or Aplanat) is one good example which was probably made for the 10x12 Perken US field cameras of those days.

Condition:
The brass is in nice shape, there is minima wear to the golden laquere at all. The lens features a waterhouse slot (no stops included). The glass is a overall good condition also, beeing  clear and with only a minimal hint of seperation.

The lens was advertised to cover 10x12 format, but with its focal lenght of about 450mm and an image circle of about 500mm it will cover formats up to 11"x14" easily. The lens is overall corrected (aplanat design) and shows a remarkable sharpness all throughout the image field.

The lens comes with a fitting flange and an authentic leather lenscap.
