Here you see a quite impressive lens made by the famous german workshop: Hugo Meyer Görlitz. This lens features the well known Doppel Anastigmat layout, which also was marketed by Goerz under the name 'Dagor'. The focal lenght is 480mm (or 18") at a max. aperture of F7.7, those are the same specs as the No.8 Goerz Dagor. The image circle of this beast is gigantic and will work for ULF formats.

The Doppelanastigmat is a very well corrected and super sharp lens design, which was highly praised in the early days of photography.

The condition of the lens is very good. The brass is covered by the protecting black lauqure which looks authentic to me and is present with only some minor signs of wear. The glass is mostly in good condition showing quite some tiny air bubbles (a sign of quality glass!), only the rear glass shows quite some cleaning marks across the edge. The aperture is complete and moving, though a bit though at times.


The lens comes with the original flange.
