History: Ross lenses were well know and highly regarded among the early photographic community and still are by wet palte shooters nowadays. The Telecentric was introduced by the end of the 19th century and was one of the first telelens designs ever made. The big advantage with this layout is that the backfocus is way shorter then the FL, meaning much less bellows extension, which also meant much less light loss due to the bellows factor. The lens features a 5 element in 2 groups layout.

There are two series of this design: one comes with F5.4 starting aperture which also can be found in the shop. And one which is more compact and lightweight with F6.8 as starting aperture, which you can see here.

Condition: The brass looks really good here, there is some wear and signs of use for sure, mostly the front was slightly bent at some point. The glass elements are overall clean but show some small marks of damage in the front. To my experience and testing this wont affect the image quality of this great portrait lens. The lens comes with an iris aperture which is still working smoothly.

The lens has a focal lenght of 17" (or 430mm) and it will cover 8x10 and up to 12x15 formats.

Lens comes with a flange that doesnt fit completly, but will hold the lens well.
