Schulze & Billerback Euryplan 240mm F7.5
€200.00 EUR
Here you see a quite interesting lens made by the german company Schulze & Billerbeck. This specimen features the well known Doppel
Anastigmat layout, which also was used by Goerz and other manufacturers
of that time. The focal lenght is 240mm (or 9.5") at a max. aperture of
F7.5. The image circle of this very compact lens is quite big and will work even for 8x10 formats.
The Doppelanastigmat is a very well corrected and super sharp lens
design, which was highly praised in the early days of photography.
The
condition of the lens is very good. The brass is authentic and shows
some wear
here and there, but also a nice patina. The glass looks very clear, with minimal dust specs and air bubbles (sign of quality glass!). There is no haze and
no fungus. The aperture is moving freely from F7.5 up to F64.
This lightweight and compact lens is best used as a landscape field lens on normal FL for 5x7 formats, or a light wide angle lens on 8x10 formats.
The lens comes with a flange, and an adapted lenscap.
