I had a couple of 420mm F4.5 Heliars in my life,  but this one comes really great condition and its also an early one beeing made in the early 1900s.

Its been tested by me up to 12" x 15" plates. Wonderfull portrait lens, if you want you can ask me for pictures of the plates, you will find plety of example shots on flickr.


This fantastic piece of optical history comes in near collectors condition. The black laquere looks good and shows only minor wear. The aperture is complete and mooves smoothly forth and back. The glass is in a very good condition, only very light cleaning marks and air bubbles can be seen. There is no fungus, haze or any chips there. The image on the groundglass is outstanding.




The lens comes with a flange which is not original, but holds the lens really well.
