History: A beuatifull lens, which i have kept in my private collection for about 2 years now. This Voigtländer petzval lens comes in a fantastic and authentic condition, there are some signs of wear on the brass but its that kind of patina which should be left there. Speaking of optical quality, i think i dont have to mention that Voigtländer offered one of the best, if not the best, image quality back then.

With its fast open aperture of F4.5 and a focal lengh of 460mm (or 18"), this lens will work from 8x10 to 12x15 format (maybe even 14x17 if you really want to see alot of petzval character in your images and some light vignietting).

Condition: The brass shows only light wear (mostly on one side), but as i wrote most of the original protecting laquere is still there. The lens features a waterhouse slot and it comes even with a fitting stop (i think it was F8). The glass is in nice condition too, there are some cleaning marks and minimal amount of wear, but overall the glass is clear and in a beautifull condition.

One of the reasons i have kept this one to myself for such a long time was that it came as a complete set with the original leather lenscap, the flange and waterhouse stop. Most of the time at least something is missing. This one is complete!
