Shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.

History: This is a very rare and most interesting wide angle lens. It was made by Balbreck Aime & Fils in Paris in the late 1890s. It features a 'Globe Lens' layout which was used by Darlot, Harrison and some more major makers used. The extraordinary fact here is that is the largest Ultra Wide Angle lens that i ever had so far. Its the No. 7 from the 'Extra Grand Angulaire' series, and features a stunning imaging angle of 85°.

With its focal lenght of 480mm and a gigantic image circle of slightly larger then 1m it will work for most ULF formats that you can throw at it.

You want 30"x30" wide angle landscapes done? You wont find an authentic lens more suitable and in a better condition then this.

Condition: This specimen comes in a fantastic collectors condition. The brass still shows the nice and warm patina of time passed. I can only imagine that this lens was held in a private collection for the last 100years or so. On one side there is even the selling label, very likely still from the late 1890s!

The glass is in a similar great condition, i cant make out any cleaning marks or seperation here. This is indeed one of the nicest lenses that i ever had so far.

The lens features a still working revlving aperture which offers F22 when shot wide open.

Lens comes with the original flange and even the original leather lenscap.

You really rarely see something like this beeing offered at all. So this might be your one and only chance for a lens like that.
