Important Notice: I will be traveling for the next couple of months. There is a small possibility that i will be able to ship something in December this year, but its not 100% sure.

Carl Böhmke was a long time employee and foreman in Voigtländer's plant before venturing off to manufacture his own line of lenses in the fall of 1883 in Braunschweig.
Böhmke took very much pride in his work and his workshop had a rigid quality control, as he was used to in Voigtländers workshop. He did market his lenses as eqaul, if not better, compared to Voigtländers famous Euryscope line. As far as i have tested his lenses in the past, i can only agree with that. The built and optical quality is en par with what you would get with a Voigtländer lens. Besides that, Böhmke did produce lenses only in small batches (at least compared to Voigtländers output), so lenses by Böhmke are extremly rare today, making them not only fantastic tools for wetplate photography, but also well saught after collectors items.
Condition:
The
condition of the lens is really good. The brass shows some minor wear
and the nice golden patina. The glass is in a really good condition
also, there are only minimal cleaning marks and a small edge chip which
wont affect the image quality. There is
no haze, fungus or seperation there.
The lens comes with a fitting flange!
