€1800.00 EUR

Shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.
History: The Darlot Hemispherique lens was designed as succesor to the Harrisons Globe lens (also Panthoskop). It was introduced in 1866 and did its job with great success. The built in three lever aperture and the compact design made it one of the best, if not the best wide angle landscape lenses in the history.

The No 5 of the series offers a focal lenght of 300mm (12") and an imaging angle of about 90°. It will work best for landscape and arrchitectural work with 14x17 and larger formats.

Condition: This specimen comes in a fantastic and authentic condition. The brass still shows the nice and warm patina of time passed. The glass is mostly in good condition also, there are some cleaning marks and a bit of scuffs in the center of the rear lens, both wont affect the image at all, and allover the glass is clear and clean.

Lens comes with the original flange.

You really rarelly see something like this beeing offered at all. For me this is the very first No.5 Hemispherique that i ever saw in the last 7 years! I had a No.6 once before that in the shop, which sold out very quickly, so use your chance to get the No.5 this time!
