Darlot Petzval 330mm F4.5
History: The lens comes without an outer engraving, which is totally not unusuall for early french lenses, especially with Darlot. On the rear glass one can spot the lead pencil writing the name Darlot.
The focal lenght is about 330mm (or 13") and the open aperture is around F4.5. It covers 8x10 and 10x12 with a destinctive petzval character in the outer region (especially in the larger format). Its a petzval design lens and shows some similarities to the Dallmeyer 3B lens in its optical characteristic.
Condition: This brass beauty comes in a great condition. The brass looks nice and shows only minimal wear and a nice authentic patina. The rack & pinion mechanism is complete and mostly is working (sometimes it needs a light push though). The glass is in good condition, there is a small scratch on the front element and some very light edge seperation, but both wont affect image quality at all. There is no haze, fungus or anything that would affect the image quality.
It comes with a flange and an adapted lenscap!
