Derogy Convertible Petzval 140mm F3.3

€400.00 EUR

Shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.
History: This very early Petzval layout lens comes from one of the most exclusive french lens making workshops: Derogy Paris. This lens was introduced in 1858 and called: Objectif a foyers multiples et lentilles addictionelles. It features the portrait petzval layout, but it also offers also a landscape layout. For easier use it also features the Derogy bayonet system, which greatly improved the changing the mode of shooting.

Condition: The condition is very good here, i would say it makes a fine specimen in any collection or any shooters cabinet. The brass is authentic and unpolished, while the glass is mostly clear, showing some only minor cleaning marks a small edge chip in the front element. The Rack & Pinion mechanism is complete and still working.

The lens has a focal lenght of 140mm at a speed of F3.6. It will work best for 4x5 formats with fine petzval characteristic on the ground glass.

Lens comes with a flange.
