E. Suter Aplanat RR 250mm F8
€120.00 EUR
History: A very interesting group portrait and landscape lens especially for
the 4x5 and 5x7
format. Emil Suter was one of the earliest and a very reknowed optical
makers in the early years of photography. He was well known and
respected for his well built Aplanat series, and also for the Rapid
Portrait series which had a portrait petzval layout.
This lens has a focal lenght of 250mm (or 10")at a speed of F8. I
did testmount it and it covers 5x7 easily, probably even working up to fullplate formats.
This tiny lens (weight is only 220gr!) will make a great travell companien for open air group portrait and landscape work.
Condition:
The
brass looks quite nice with a patina and some light signs of wear. The
glass shows some scleaning marks and specs but both wont affect the
image quality. The lens features a fully working iris aperture which moves smoothly.
Lens comes with a flange.
