E Suter Portrait Petzval 300mm F3.75
€1200.00 EUR
History: A very interesting Portrait petzval especially for the 8x10
format. E Suter was one of the earliest and most reknowed optical
makers in the early years of photography. He was well known and respected for his well built Aplanat series, and also for the Rapid Portrait series which had a portrait petzval layout.
Condition: The
lens is in
very nice and authentic condition. The brass of the lens comes with a
golden patina, showing only minimal wear and a fantastic golden patina. The glass is in a really good condition, there are some cleaning marks here and there, but overall nothing that would affect the image quality the slightest.
This lens
has about 300mm focal lenght (12") and an open aperture of
F3.75. It will cover 5x7 and 8x10 format with a nice petzval character especially at portrait distance.
Lens comes with the fitting flange, and also a fitting waterhouse stop (aprox. F6).
