Condition: This Petzval design lens comes in an absolute collectors condition. The brass comes unpolished with some patina, there is some minmal wear here and there but its still a beauty to look upon. The rack & pinion is there and works smoothly. The glass is in very good condition, there is no haze, fungus or anything that would impair the imaging quality here.

Its engraved with 'Darlot opticien - Paris - 33.710'.

The best part here is that the lens comes as a complete set: a fitting flange, an authentic leather lenscap and a full set of waterhouse stops in the authentic leather case! Complete sets like that are really rare by any standards.

The lens has a focal lenght of 250mm at a speed of F4. It will cover 5x7 and fullplate formats with a distinct petzval characteristic on the ground glass. You might also want to try to shoot 8x10 formats with it, which will probably result in minimal edge vignietting.
