Emil Busch Pantoscop No4 170mm F22
€900.00 EUR
History:
The Pantoscop is a real legend among the wide angle lenses. It was made
by the german manufacturer Emil Busch and featured very thin glass
elements which were very difficult to polish back then. It offered a
ultra large imaging angle, which was corrected for most stigmatism. This
and the compact design made it one of the best, if not the best
wide angle landscape lenses in the history.
The No 4 of the series offers a focal lenght
of 170mm (7 1/4") and an image circle of about 430mm wide open! which is
enaugh for covering up to 10x12 formats, even 14x17 might be possible.
Condition:
This specimen comes in a very good condition. The brass
still shows the nice and warm patina of time passed. The glass
is in a good condition also, only minimal dust specs here and there.
Lens comes with a fitting flange.
