Emil Busch Portrait Petzval 180mm F3
This nice petzval lens comes from one of the early german manufacturers: Emil Busch Rathenow. Busch was known for a very good built and optical quality, and this specimen shows both.
The focal lenght is about 180mm (or 7") and the open aperture is around F3 makes the lens a wonderfull tool for 4x5 and 5x7 portraits. Offering a nice shallow DOF and a destinctive petzval character in the outer region (especially in the larger format).
Condition: This lens comes in a collectors condition! The brass looks very nice and shows an authentic golden patina. The rack & pinion mechanism is complete and still working. The glass is in good condition, there is a very light edge seperation in the front, but that will not affect the image in any case. Besides that there is no haze, fungus visible.
It comes with a flange and a very well made leather lenscap!
