Voigtländer Portrait Petzval 180mm F3.6
€850.00 EUR
Very early portrait petzval lens made by the most famous manufaturer: Voigtländer in Wien und Braunschweig. The serial is 13.021 so it dates back from the year 1862!
It comes in a collectiors condition: the brass and the golden laquere show some wear but also an authentic patina.
The rack & pinion is complete, though not really working. The glass is really clean and shows only minor cleaning marks and dust specs. Otherwise
there is no haze, fungus or seperation
present. The lens offers a very sharp center which is the hallmark of
Voigtländer petzval lenses.
This lens
has about 180mm focal lenght (7") and an open aperture of
F3.6. It will work great for 4x5 portraiture work, but actually will
produce the also nice results on the 5x7 format, with some light falloff in the corners.
Lens comes with a fitting flange and a leather lenscap!
