Emil Busch Portrait Petzval Doppel Objektiv 245mm F3
€900.00 EUR
History: A very nice Portrait petzval lens for the
5x7 and fullplate
format. Emil Busch was one of the early optical
makers in Germany. He was well known and
respected for his well built Aplanat Portrait lenses, and later also for the 'Doppelt
Objektiv' Portrait series which had a petzval layout.
This specimen comes from the later line having a very fast petzval layout and an original black finish.
Condition: The
lens is in an absolute collectors condition! The brass
comes with the original black finish (not repainted) showing only minor wear. The original iris aperture still moves smoothly, forth and back. The glass is in a really nice condition, there are some usually cleaning marks and dust specs, but that wont affect the beautifull image of this lens.
This lens
has about 245mm focal lenght (9.6") and a stunning open aperture of
F3. It will cover 5x7 and might also work for the fullplate format with a nice petzval character especially at portrait distance.
Lens comes with a fitting retaining ring, which makes it possible to mount it also on rather small lensboards.
