History: Folmer & Schwing did make the most exlusive banquet cameras of their time. Their work was famous and nowadays you could compare their cameras always had that special aura around them, like a Bugatti or Rolls Royce of the camera world.

This camera is very special to me and i dont give it away light hearted. In the past it was used by one of the best wetplate photographers of the modern age, Luther Gerlach. I aquired it a couple of years ago directly from him, because i was planning to do a landscape project sometime in the future. Sadly it never came to fruition and now im looking to find a good home for this special camera.

Condition: This specimen comes in a fine and authentic condition and was restored by Luthe Gerlach a couple of years ago. The wood and metall parts show a nice patina, overall it is still in its authentic condition. The bellows were professionally replaced and will very likely hold for the next 20 years at least. Mechanically everything is working, opening and moving the parts (like focusing) is really satisfying, everything clicks and feels right here, like a well handled oldtimer. Its probably not the lightest field camera but it offers great stability and reliability.

The camera comes with two fitting 12x20 filmholder.
