Coming Soon
History: This is a fine example of early french Grand
Angulaire lens, that offered a image angle of 90°. Francais - Paris was one of the most known french workshop in the early days of photography. He cooparated with many also famous makers over the years, with Auzoux he made probably the best french lenses besides Jamin.
Condition: This masterpiece of optical engineering still impresses one today.
The brass is very nice here, there is some wear and it shows
its authentic golden patina. The glass is a good condition also, beeing
clear and showing only the occasional cleaning marks and tiny specs.
Lens
comes with a revolving aperture, which works fine. With its 90° imaging
angle it has an image circle of about 450mm wide open, which is enaugh
to cover 8x10 and maybe even the 12x12 format.
The lens comes with a fitting flange.
