french made Focusing Loupe
A very well made and massive focusing loupe in a beautifull golden brass finish. The loupe is not engraved, but as with many early french lenses this is not unusuall. The making and the finish remind me of Darlot or Hermagis, which might be the maker here. I would date this specimen somewhen around 1880ies.
Overall the loupe feels really massive and well made. The glass shows minimal scuffs and cleaning marks, but is still clear overall.
The front part can be retraced and moved back in again via a helicoid.
A very hard to find accessiore which is hard to find, especially in such a good condition comes with a cardboard box.
