Condition: This small Petzval lens comes in a nice and authentic condition. The brass comes unpolished with a warm patina, there is some minmal wear here and there but its still nice to look upon. The rack & pinion is there and works smoothly. The glass is in mostly clear condition, there are quite some cleaning marks in the front, but there is no haze or anything that would impair the imaging quality here.

The lens comes without an engraving, but that was a normal thing for the early french made lenses, especially the smaller formats.


It has a focal lenght of 150mm at a speed of F3.3. Its a interesting little lens, the image circle barely makes the 4x5 format, on the other hand it shows the most petzval characteristics i have seen so far on a petzval that size. I think this fellow will make someone really happy, making 4x5 portraits with a hefty petzval punch and minimal vignietting


Lens comes with a fitting flange and even one fitting waterhouse stop!
