Condition: This quite nice Petzval design lens comes in a good overall condition. The brass is protected my a black coating which is still intact in most areas. The rack & pinion is complete and works quite well. The glass is in a very good condition also, there are a couple of specs here and there but there is no haze, or anything else that would impair the image quality.

The lens was made by W. Hume in Edinburgh probably around the 1890s to early 1900s. It features a waterhouse slot (no stops included).

It has a focal lenght of 200mm at a speed of F3.8. It will work best as a portrait lens for 4x5 and 5x7 formats  with a nice and distinct petzval character.



Lens comes with a fitting flange.
