History: This is a very rare and most interesting Lens. It was made by Gasc & Charconnet in the 1860ies and features a 'Globe Lens' layout which was used by Harrison and some more major makers used. This is the first and only Globe Lens made by Gasc & Charconnet that i've seen so far.
The focal lenght is about 250mm and it will cover 8x10 and 11x14 formats.
The lens features a still working revlving aperture which offers F11 when shot wide open.
Condition:
This specimen comes in a nice and authentic condition. The brass
still shows the nice and warm patina of time passed. The glass
is mostly in good condition also, there are some scuffs on the rear lens, which look not pretty, but wont affect
the image at all, besides that the glass is clear and clean.
Lens comes with the original flange.
A rarely found lens, that will make a great landscape shooter and a nice conversation piece.
