Condition: This Petzval design lens comes in a good working condition. A quite distinct detail with this lens is that it comes with an authentic golden patina. The glass is in a great condition, there are only minimal cleaning marks here and there, but besides that there is now fungus or haze. The rack & pinion mechanism is complete and still working smoothly, which is a nice bonus.

The lens is not engaved on the outside, but that was rather a common practice back then. The layout and the rack & pinion make it obvious that it was a later model made by the Darlot Paris works.

The lens has a focal lenght of 250mm at a speed of F4.5. It will cover 5x7 and fullplate even 8x10 format with a some light falloff in the corners and the distinct petzval characteristic on the ground glass.

The lens comes with a fitting flange.
