Condition: This Petzval design lens comes in a good working condition. A quite distinct detail with this lens is that it comes with an authentic nickel plating. Nickel plating has been used to protect the brass already in those times, but it was a quite expensive proccess, thats why it was applied to the most exlusive items.

The plating comes with quite a nice patina, there is some wear here and there but its still a beauty to look upon. The glass is mostly in a good condition, there are some cleaning marks here and there, but besides that there is now fungus or haze. The rack & pinion mechanism is complete and still working smoothly, which is a nice bonus.

The lens is engraved on the outside with the well known: 'Darlot - Paris - DA'.

It has a focal lenght of 250mm at a speed of F4. It will cover 5x7 and fullplate even 8x10 format with a some light falloff in the corners and the distinct petzval characteristic on the ground glass.

The lens comes with a fitting flange.
