Goerz Doppel Anastigmat No.8 'Dagor' 480mm F7.7
€1400.00 EUR
Here you see a quite impressive lens made by the german company C.P. Goerz Berlin: the famous Doppel Anastigmat 'Dagor' lens. This lens was famous for its huge image circle (angle of aprox 88%) and its absolute stunning sharpness. Many companies tried to copy the Doppel Anastigmat layout, thats why Goerz patented the name 'Dagor' for it. This is the No. 8 of Series III, a very impressive and heavy piece of brass and glass. The focal lenght is 480mm (or 19") at a max. aperture of
F7.7.
The Doppelanastigmat is a very well corrected and super sharp lens
design, which was highly praised in the early days of photography.
The
condition of the lens is very good. The brass is authentic and shows
some wear
here and there, its shows a nice warm glow to it. The glass
is in a good condition, the only visible blamish are some
superfine clening marks here and there that wont affect the image quality
at all. There is no haze and
no fungus. The aperture is moving freely and it comes with a fitting flange.
