This quite nice portrait Petzval layout lens comes from the british optical workshop of Houghton & Son in Holborn. This fantastic piece of history comes in a authentic condition, the brass shows a nice golden glow with only minor wear. The rack & pinion mechanism seems complete and works nicely. The glass is in overall good condition. The front shows two small edge chips, which wont have any impact on the image quality. Otherwise there is no seperation, no haze or fungus.T

his lens has a waterhouse (no stops included).

The lens has a focal lenght of 220mm at a speed of around F4. It will cover 4x5 and 5x7 and maybe even fullplate formats with fine petzval characteristic on the ground glass.

Lens comes with a flange.
