Hermagis Focusing Loupe
A very well made and exlusive focusing loupe made by the famous french optician Hermagis.
The loupe is engraved with: 'HERMAGIS - PARIS'
It is made of ebonized brass with a leather parts (which is original). Overall the loupe feels really massive and well made. There are two very interesting parts here:
1. The glass itself is colored blue, which is something i never have seen before with focusing loupes. I just can imagine that it helps to work with B&W work
2. The rear part offers a rectangular shape, which helps the photographer adjust some proportions.
I just can imagine that this was a really expensive and exlusive focusing tool, which also showed the status of the photographic practicioner.
A very hard to find accessiore which is hard to find, especially in such a good condition!
