Hermagis Grand Anglaire - 160mm F14
Important Notice: i will be travelling for the next two weeks. You can still make orders from the shop, but please keep in mind that the shipping time might be up to two weeks longer this time.
History: This Grandangulaire wide angle lens comes without a makers name on the outeside, but this was rather common among the early french makers. Looking at the overall layout and built quality it looks quite identical to other Grand Angulaire lenses i had previosly made by Hermagis.
The 'Rectilinéaires Grand-Anglaire' features a similar
layout as Dallmeyers Wide Angle Rectilinear. The lens offers a 72°
angle and thus a very large image circle, while beeing lightweight and absolutely corrected.
This specimen comes with a rotating aperture, which still works fine. The large image circle will work for up to 8x10 formats.
Condition: This impressice piece of brass and glass still looks astonishing today. The brass is very good here, there is minimal to no wear, and it shows its authentic golden patina. The glass is a great condition also, beeing clear and without any damage, haze or fungus.
The lens comes with a fitting flange!
