History: The Hugo Meyer workshop is a well known german lens manufacturer who was famous for the 'Schnellarbeiter' portrait petzval series. The Rapid Universal Aristoscop series is a agroup lens series, featuring the Aplanat layout. As far as my information goes, it was later renamed to Aristoplanat.

The No. 8 of the C series offers a focal lenght of 650mm at an open aperture of F7.5. It is a true ULF lens and will cover formats up to 14x17, maybe even slightly larger.

Condition:
This impressive piece of brass and glass still looks very nice today. The condition of the golder laquere is good here, there is minimal to no wear, and it shows its authentic patina. The glass is a good condition also, there is some wear in form of cleaning marks, but that wont affect image quality. There is no haze, speration or fungus. The lens comes with a waterhouse slot and one stop is still present.

The lens comes with a fitting flange.
