History: A very interesting Portrait Petzval for the 5x7 and fullplate format. The lens was sold by Marion London. Marion was the main importer for Darlot on the UK market, they did sell Darlot lenses under their name. The lens shows a fine brass and optical quality, one would expect from an exported Darlot lens.

Condition: The lens is in a good and authentic condition. The brass comes with a golden patina with minor signs of wear. The rack & pinion is complete and freely moving. The glass on the other hand is in a really good condition, there are some cleaning marks here and there, but otherwise the glass is clear and throws a fantastic image on the ground glass.

This lens has about 220mm focal lenght (8") and an open aperture of F3.8. It will cover 5x7 format with a nice petzval character especially at portrait distance.

Lens comes with a fitting flange.
