Meyer Goerlitz Trioplan 210mm F3.5 II
Hugo Meyer Trioplan lens is legendary not only among large format
photographers but also well known and respected on 35mm cameras. Its
creamy 'bubble bokeh' can only be found in this lens
design, and Trioplan lenses score high prizes among Leica and other
35mm shooters. Another big advantage with the Trioplan is, that its really
lightweight compared to similar lenses (Voigtländer Heliar of similar
size weights 3 times that), thats usefull if your camera doesnt take
heavy lenses or for field work.
This is the 210mm F3.5, which is the fastest version of the Trioplan large format family, the standard comes with F4.5. With its 210mm (or 8 1/3") FL it will well work for 4x5 and 5x7 portraiture work. The fast open aperture offers a wonderfull shallow DOF for that and the bubble bokeh does the rest.
The condition of the lens is quite good, it seems this one was treated nicely over the decades. The black laquere shows some wear here and there, but the most important thing: the glass is mostly in good condition, showing only minimal cleaning marks and some minor specs, no haze and no fungus here.
The lens comes with its original flange and lenshood!
