Peerless Morrison Portrait Petzval 300mm F3.8

€1300.00 EUR

Shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.
History: A fine example of an early made american Portrait Petzval lens made by Morrison for Scovilles Peerless line. There is also a slight chance that this is a rebranded Gasc & Charconnet lens, since Morrison imported those in the beginning parts and complete lenses from them.

Condition: The lens is in very nice and authentic condition. The brass of the lens comes with a nice golden patina, showing some signs of wear allover, but not that much that it should be polished. The glass is in a really good condition, the front glass shows only the slightest hint of edge seperation, which wont affect the image(!), otherwise it is super clear not even much of cleaning marks can be seen.

This lens has about 300mm focal lenght (12") and an open aperture of F3.8. It will cover 5x7 and 8x10 format with a nice petzval character especially at portrait distance.

Lens comes with a fitting flange, and also a waterhouse stop (F8).
