Peerless Morrison Portrait Petzval 320mm F4
History: A fine example of an early made american Portrait Petzval lens made by Morrison for Scovilles Peerless line. There is also a slight chance that this is a rebranded Gasc & Charconnet lens, since Morrison imported those in the beginning parts and complete lenses from them.
Condition: The lens is in very nice condition. The brass of the lens comes with a nice golden laquere, showing some signs of wear, especially the lenshood. The rack & pinion mechanism is missing, but that is only an aestheticl point. The glass on the other hand is in a really good condition, there are some minimal cleaning marks here and there, which wont affect the image(!), otherwise it is super clear.
This lens has about 320mm focal lenght (~12.5") and an open aperture of F4. It will cover 8x10 and maybe even 10x12 format with a nice petzval character especially at portrait distance.
Lens comes with a fitting flange, and also a waterhouse stop (F7).
