Rodenstock Eurynar Anastigmat 480mm F4.5

Shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.

This is a very massive and impressive lens made by the German company Rodenstock in München. This specimen features an impressive focal lenght of  480mm (or 19") at a max. aperture of F4.5! Its quite compareable to the 480mm F4.5 Voigtländer Heliar, although the optical layout is different here, which consists of 4 optical elements. The image on the groundglass is stunning. It offers a curved field, meaning it has a very sharp center of focus, while there is a very feint falloff towards the edges of the image circle. And with a starting aperture of F4.5 it is a professional tool for portrait photography in many ULF formats.

The image circle of this beast is about 60cm in diameter. It will work as a long portrait lens for 8x10 and as ULF lens up to 14x17 formats.

The condition of the lens is very good. The brass show overall only light wear. It comes with a working aperture which turns smoothly from F4.5 up to F25. The glass inside is in a quite good and clear condition, showing only some cleaning marks on the front element and some scratches in the rear Considerin the pure size of the glass elements, this doesnt affect the image quality in the slightest.

The lens comes with a fitting flange.
