Rodenstock Monar Petzval 200mm F3.5
€500.00 EUR
History: A nice piece of photographic history comes from the late 19th century. It was made by one of the largest optical companies
in germany back then, Rodenstock München.
Condition: The
brass and its golden laquere look good and show only minor wear.
The rack & pinion mechanism is complete (though not really working). The glass is mostly clean and shows quite some cleaning marks, and some edge chips in the rear. Besides that there is no
haze, fungus or anything that would diminish the optical qualities.
The lens has a focal lenght of 200mm at a speed of F3.5. It will cover 4x5 with some room for movements but will work best for 5x7 format at
portrait distance with distinct petzval characteristic on the ground
glass.
Lens comes with a flange/ retianing ring.
