Rodenstock Portrait Petzval 230mm F3.8
€700.00

History:
This nice petzval lens comes from one of the early german manufacturers: Rodenstock München. An interesting part here is, that it features a quite uncommen focal lenght of 230mm, which is quite perfect for the 4x5 and 5x7 format.
The
focal lenght is about 230mm (or 9") and the open aperture is around
F3.8. It covers 5x7 and fullplate formats with minimal vignietting and with a destinctive petzval character in the
outer region (especially in the larger format). It also offers a nice and shallow DOF for portraiture work.
Condition:
This lens comes in a good condition. The brass is coated either with nickel or a black finish, which looks mostly nice and
shows only minor wear. The rack
& pinion mechanism is complete and still working. The glass is in good condition, there are minimal cleaning marks, besides that there is no haze, fungus visible.
It comes with a retaining ring and a nice leather lenscap (which is actually made by Voigtländer) and is ready to shoot!
