Schneider Kreuznach Xenar 150mm F3.5
History: This is a good example of the optical masterwork made by the famous Carl Zeiss Company in Germany.
The Xenar is an modified Tessar layout, which in my experience shows a slightly more curved field, which results in a more interesting portrait lens. The
best thing here is, that its not the quite common F4.5 version which was
sold over decades a million times, this is the faster F3.5 version
which was made only for special customers and rare by any standards.
Condition: The metall is in a absolute nice condition, there is almost no wear to the housing and the black laquere is in a good condition The glass is in a good condition also, there are the obvious cleaning marks and some tiny specs, which wont affect the final image at all. The aperture runs smooth. from F3.5 to F32.
The lens comes complete with the flange.
The lens has a focal lenght of 150mm at a speed of F3.5. It will cover 4x5 formats.
