History: The Jos. Schneider Xenar is very well known for its absolute corrected field all over the image area. Still this is not the boring F4.5 version, its the faster F3.5 version which offerst a nice shallow DOF for portraiture work. Its very compact and rather lightweight companion for field work also.

With its 240mm focal lenght and F3.5 aperture this Xenar will work well for 4x5, 5x7 and even up to fullplate formats.

The condition of the lens is really good. There are not many large Xenars with F3.5 in this condition on the market. The black laquere shows only minimal wear, but the most important thing: the glass is in a very good condition! showing only very minimal cleaning marks, no haze and no fungus here.


The lens comes with its original flange.
