Schneider Kreuznach Xenar 250mm F3.5
€600.00 EUR
History: This is a good example of the optical masterwork made by the famous Schneider Kreuznach Company in Germany.
The Xenar features a Tessar layout, which was one of the most succesfull lens designs back then. The
best thing here is, that its not the quite common F4.5 version which was
sold over decades a million times, this is the faster F3.5 ! version
which was made only for special customers and rare by any standards.
Condition:
The housing is in a absolute nice condition, the black laquere is mostly in a good condition The
glass is in a quite good condition, there are quite some clening marks
there, but there is no haze, no fungus and no chips present. The
aperture runs smooth from F3.5 to F32.
The lens comes complete with a flange.
The lens has a focal lenght of 250mm at a speed of F3.5. It will cover 5x7 and even fullplate formats on portrait distance.
