SOM Berthiot Focusing Loupe
A very well made and quite early focusing loupe made by the famous french optician SOM Berthiot (who took over Hermagis at some point). The lens can be dated into the 1900ies.
The loupe is engraved with: 'SOM BERTHIOT PARIS'
It is made of metal with a very nice black finish (which is original as far as i can see). Overall the loupe feels really massive and well made. The glass shows some minor scuffs and cleaning marks, but is still clear overall.
The loupe comes with a beautifull red leather case.
A very hard to find accessiore which is hard to find, especially in such a good condition!
