History: This brass specimen comes very likely from a french lens workshop (most likely Darlot or G&C, judging from the brass layout). It was pretty common practise in france not to engrave the lenses in those times.

Condition: The brass looks good here, there is minimal amount of wear and well protected by a golden laquere. The rack & pinion mechanism is complete and working. The glass looks also good here, minor cleaning marks and specs, but nothing that would have an impact on the final imaging capabilities.

The lens has a focal lenght of 160mm at a speed of F3.5. It will work for 4x5 format perfectly for portraiture work.
