A small sensational lens. The F3.5 Heliars were really rare lenses back then and even more today. The Heliars that came already in compound shutters were more exclusive and costly. This is a very rare example of both: a 150mm F3.5 Voigtländer Heliar coming in a still working compound shutter. The list from Voigtländer list from H. Thiele states that only 3 pieces were made of this lens!

The condition of this specimen is very nice. The lens is in absolute working condition: the aperture mooves smoothly forth and back and have all its leaves. The glass is in an good condition, some cleaning streaks front and rear (especially the front element has a cleaning stream), but this will not affect the image quality. There is no fungus, haze or any chips there. The Compound shutter seems to work fine, the times sound about right, though the slower ones seems to fast to me, but as with all older shutters they might be a bit off from time to time.

The lens offers a focal lenght of 150mm and will work best for 4x5 formats.

The lens comes with the original flange.
