History: If you ask seasoned shooters what favourite lens they would name, many would say a Heliar. Those are masterpieces of german optical design and famous in the Large format community for their smooth portrait rendering and absolute stunning bokeh. Just google up the internet for sample images shot with Heliar.


Condition: The metall is in a absolute nice condition, there is almost no wear to the housing and the black laquere is in a good condition The glass is in good condition also, the lens was coated in the begining, but some of the inner coating is off, so that should be mentioned. The aperture is working smoothly.


The lens has a focal lenght of 180mm at a speed of F4.5. It will works best with 4x5 formats offering some room for movements, but it should also cover 5x7 tightly, maybe for portrait shoots.


Lens comes with a flange.
