Voigtländer Portrait Petzval 220mm F3.6
€800.00 EUR
History: I dont think that Voigtländer & Sohn needs any
introduction. It was one of the best (if not the best) lens maker in the
early days, who revolutionized photography by introducing the petzval
portrait lens.
This quite early version and the serial number is 16.639 and it was made around the year 1864.
Condition: The
lens comes in quite a nice condition that is worthy of any collection. The brass shows a nice and golden glow. The rack
& pinion seems complete and still moving (though a bit jumpy at times). The glass is really
good here, featuring only some minor cleaning marks here and there, but
no obvious damage.
This lens
has about 220mm focal lenght (8.5") and an open aperture of
F3.6. It will be
best used on 4x5 and 5x7 portrait format.
Lens comes with a fitting flange.
