Voigtländer Portrait Petzval 220mm F3.3
Very early made Voigtländer portrait petzval lens (serial is 18.812
it dates back from the year 1866). It comes in a quite good condition: brass was partially cleaned but still shows a nice and authentic patina. The rack & pinion is complete and working. The glass is mostly clean but features two small specs and minimal cleaning marks. Otherwise there is no haze, fungus or seperation
present. The lens offers a very sharp center which is the hallmark of Voigtländer petzval lenses.
has about 220mm focal lenght (8") and an open aperture of
F3.3. It was probably designed for 4x5 portraiture work, but actually will
produce the best results on the 5x7 and maybe even fullplate format (at portrait distance), where its authentic
character can be seen in the outer edges of the image field.
Lens comes with a fitting flange.
