well made 18x24 field camera (8x10)
€380.00 EUR
Condition: A well made 18x24 field camera, coming from an european maker (probably german). This is specimen is not the usuall simplified field cameras you find often in the bay or at flea markets, its a very well handcrafted camera which comes with alot of brass and movement possibilities. The front offers rise/fall, while the rear offers tilt and swing. The bellows look original and are still good, quite flexible. The camera offers bellows draw up to around 60cm. The back can be rotated to take either portrait or landscape format. This one was designed for dry plates and film, but with some easy modification will also be able to take wetplates.
Camera comes with 2 fitting 18x24 plateholders (which also have 13x18 inserts).
All in all the camera is in ok condition, it might profit from a general refurbishment but can also be used as it is, since everything seems to function. I wouldnt generally say its a camera for the long run. But if you want to start out without investing alot of money and see it wetplate is your thing, this is inexpensive start.
It comes with 3 drilled lensboards. If
you buy a lens form my collection for this camera i can adapt the lens
to it for free and combine shipping costs.
