History: A small and lighweight companion for any field camera work. The Tessar IIB Series was made by Bausch & Lomb for field camera work in the early 1910ies. It comes mounted in a Volute shutter.
Condition:
The metall is in a nice condition, there is only minor wear to
the housing and the black laquere is still mostly present. The glass is in
good condition also, there is no haze, fungus or seperation present.
The lens is uncoated and will work well for wet plate photography. The Volute shutter looks good and the times sound about right. The
aperture is working
smoothly.
The lens has a focal lenght of 250mm at a speed of
F6.3. It was meant for fullplate format but will easily work up to 8x10 formats.
Lens comes with a flange and the original lenscap.

(antique). I try my best to describe all the faults and major damage
which are relevant for the function of this item. But the actuall item
can show signs of wear and also some cosmetic blemishes/damage which is
